Why would you buy a regular smartphone or a flip phone, when you can get an Android flip phone instead? We’re not sure, but LG thought this was a good idea (although, in all honesty, LG is not the first to try this – Samsung’s already created a couple of phones like these for the Asian market), and announced a device called the LG Wine Smart – a flip phone that runs Android.
The LG Wine Smart sports a 3.5” display and a resolution of 480 x 320 pixels, and on the inside is a 1.2GHz processor, backed by 1GB of RAM. You also get 4GB of built-in storage, a 1,700mAh battery, and an 8-megapixel camera. The phone features a numerical keypad, and the latest version of Android – 4.4 KitKat.
The phone should launch in South Korea soon enough, although the company is yet to release any details on its pricing and whether or not it is planning to launch it in US or Europe. As always, once we have more info, we’ll let you guys know. In the meantime, check out the video below and share your thoughts with us on LG’s newest device.
