Nokia’s E5 QWERTY package mobile phone goes on sale today. First announced back in April at Nokia’s Connect event, the Symbian S60 smartphone includes a four line hardware keyboard, a 2.4 inch QVGA screen and extensive social networking support.
The E5’s key features according to Nokia are:
-Work and personal email accounts from the homescreen
-Super quick, intuitive set up for email
-Free Ovi Maps – a Sat Nav and pedestrian turn by turn navigator with richly informative TimeOut, Expedia, Michelin, Lonely Planet, Qype and Trip Advisor applications for most countries
-Business-grade security and device management functions such as remote locking with SMS and device and memory card encryption
-Internet access (HSDPA/HSUPA and WLAN)
-5 MP camera
However, the price is higher than expected. Back in April it had been rumoured to retail for around £160, but its SIM-free price today has been revealed to be £259. We expect the mobile accessories for this smartphone will be soon available, similarly to other Nokia accessories.
