Apple’s “Spring Forward” event took place yesterday in San Francisco, where the company unveiled its first fanless MacBook, the price of the Apple Watch, and officially launched iOS 8.2.
The New MacBook
As we already mentioned, the brand new MacBook is fanless, and offers a 12” Retina display and a resolution of 2304 x 1440 pixels. Only 13.1 mm thick, the new MacBook is 24% thinner than the MacBook Air, and it is available in three familiar colours – gold, silver and space grey. The MacBook’s housing is made of aluminium and the device comes in two versions:

Some of the new (and interesting) features include a USB-C connector (an all-in-one connector), and a new Force Touch trackpad, which detects how much pressure you are applying and allows you to control your notebook better. Because of the butterfly mechanism (“a single assembly made from a stiffer material”), the keyboard of the MacBook is 40% thinner than conventional keyboards.
The Apple Watch – Between £299 and £9,500
Since we learned almost everything about the Apple Watch a while ago, we’ve basically just been waiting for its pricing and release details, which Apple revealed yesterday.

On April 10, the Stainless Steel and Sport models will go on sale, and for anyone interested getting the Watch Edition, you will need to wait until April 24. Nine countries will get the most expensive smartwatch in the world: Australia, China, Germany, France, Great Britain, Hong Kong, Japan, Canada and the United States.
